When and Where?

The second Production Designers Gathering will take place between October 18th (arrival) and October 22nd (departure), 2024, on the island of Spetses, Greece.

Who is it for?

The Gathering is open to production designers and production design students. 

Can I still register?

Registration has closed since the event is sold out. If you're interested in being added to the wait list, please email us. 

What is included in the cost of my registration?

Your registration will include the following:

  • Travel from Athens port to Spetses island and back

  • Opening night reception

  • A full program of workshops, panels and roundtables

  • Coffee breaks as per conference program

  • Lunches as per conference program

  • Communal dinners every night

​

Your registration will not include:

​

  • Travel to and from Greece

  • Transportation from Athens airport to the Athens port 

  • Accommodations 

Do you offer discounted accommodations?

Yes we do! Once registered, guests will be offered discounted rates at selected hotels on the island. Check out options here. However, the event's registration does not include accommodations and the organizers carry no responsibility in that area.

I am booking my flights. When should I arrive / leave?

Our boat will depart from the Athens port on October 18th at 15:00. Please arrive at the Athens airport by 12:00, so you have ample time to get to the port and board the Gathering boat.

 

We will depart from Spetses on the mornings of October 22nd and 23rd, and travel by ferries + buses directly to the Athens airport. Please book your flight should be no earlier than 14:00.

What if I have more questions about accommodations and travel?

Our hospitality team is happy to help with suggestions and island orientation. Please send an email to pdgathering@erasmus.gr for further assistance.

Do you have student discounts?

Yes we do! We offer a discounted registration rate for students. Once registered, students are able to enjoy discounted dorm-like accommodations at the event's conference center. 

Do you offer companion passes?

Since spots are limited, please get in touch with our hospitality team to request a companion pass. Email pdgathering@erasmus.gr for further assistance.

What is the special workshop for educators?

This year production design professors have the opportunity to extend their stay by one additional day to join a day-long workshop organized by PD-REN (Production Design Research and Education Network) in collaboration with the Production Designers Gathering. The workshop participants will discuss teaching methods, compare curricula and plan future academic meetings.

What is the special workshop for organizers?

Production design advocates including representatives of production design organizations around the globe are invited to join a day-long workshop to discuss current advocacy issues, share strategies and methods. To find out more email us at team@productiondesignersgathering.org. 

What if my plans change and I can't make it?

We all work in the entertainment industry and so we understand the difficulty of committing to any future plans... Luckily, you can cancel your registration and receive a full refund until September 1st, 2024, minus 50€ administration fees. For more details check out our registration page. 

Can I transfer my registration to a colleague if I can't make it?

Please email event organizers at pdgathering@erasmus.gr to receive further assistance.

When will the full program be released?

We’re currently working with an amazing lineup of panels and workshops. The full schedule will be announced about a month before the event.

How can I receive updates and news on the event? 

If you're a member of the Production Designers Collective, you will be receiving updates through the PDC newsletter. If you're not a member, sign up for our special Gathering newsletter, where we will share updates about our guests and program! You can find the sign-up form below.
